Education qualification :
Candidates should have passed 10th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
Age Limit :
Minimum age : 18 years
Maximum age : 25 years

General/OBC candidates: Rs. 100/- SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates: Exempted from fee payment.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Male: Walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
- Female: Walk 1 Km in 20 minutes.
Physical Standard Test (PST):
- Male:
- Height: 157.5 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes).
- Chest: 81 cm (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm).
- Female:
- Height: 152 cm (relaxable by 2.5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes).
- Weight: 48 kg (relaxable by 2 kg for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes).
Special Provision for Pregnant Women:
- Pregnant women (12 weeks or more) are temporarily unfit.
- Re-examination for PET six weeks after confinement with a medical certificate.
- If fit, they may be appointed to reserved vacancies and maintain seniority.
Syllabus and Exam Pattern :
Session I
1. Numerical and Mathematical Ability : 20 questions, 60 marks.
2. Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving : 20 questions, 60 marks.
Session II
1. General Awareness : 25 questions, 75 marks.
2. English Language and Comprehension : 25 questions, 75 marks.
The total time for all four parts is 45 minutes, or 60 minutes for candidates eligible for scribes.
