Recruitment Details
Offline applications are invited from eligible candidates from across the country for enrollment in CRPF under the compassionate appointment quota. This recruitment is applicable only for eligible dependent family members of CRPF personnel who:
- Were killed in action
- Died while in service
- Were invalidated out from service on medical grounds
- Are missing while in service

Eligibility Criteria:-
Age:
- 18 to 25 years
- Relaxations:
- Up to 15 years for compassionate appointments.
- For widows, up to 40 years.
- Additional relaxations as per specific criteria.
Educational Qualification:
- Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent.
- Note: Two or three-year Diploma in technical education done after 10th class will not be considered.
Skill Test:
- English typing: Minimum speed of 35 words per minute.
- Hindi typing: Minimum speed of 30 words per minute.
- Typing test details and error deductions provided.
- No appeals for retesting allowed.
Physical Standard Test:
- Height:
- Male: 165 cm (General), 162.5 cm (Scheduled Tribes).
- Female: 155 cm (General), 150 cm (Scheduled Tribes).
- Chest (Male only):
- General/OBC/SC: 77 cm (Unexpanded), 82 cm (Expanded).
- Scheduled Tribes: 76 cm (Unexpanded), 81 cm (Expanded).
- Minimum chest expansion: 5 cm.
Physical Efficiency Test:
- Male: 1.6 km race in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
- Female: 800 meters race in 4 minutes 45 seconds.
Medical Standards:
- Visual standards and other physical health criteria detailed.
Written Exam:
- Objective type, 100 marks.
- Sections: Hindi/English Language (optional), General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, Clerical Aptitude, Computer Knowledge.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40%.

1. Application form (Part-A) filled by the candidate.
2. Written application for desired post in CRPF.
3. Undertaking certificate for family care (Stamp Paper, duplicate).
4. NOC from other dependent family members (Stamp Paper).
5. Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) in prescribed format.
6. Three recent passport-size photographs (signed on the back).
7. Educational certificates (duplicate).
8. Proof of date of birth (duplicate).
9. Domicile certificate (duplicate).
10. Movable/immovable property details (duplicate).
11. Dependent certificate from date of death/invalidation/missing (duplicate).
12. Character certificate (duplicate).
13. Copy of death certificate.
14. Affidavit for marital status.
15. Details of dependent family members (name/age/relation/occupation/earnings).
16. Details of liabilities (education/marriage/loans).
17. Medical documents for family members with serious diseases.
18. Reasons for belated request (if applied after 5 years).

The post carries the following pay level as per the 7th CPC:
