The Prime Minister's Internship Scheme 2024 is a large-scale initiative launched as part of the Union Budget 2024-25, aiming to provide one crore internships over five years to youth across India.
Eligibility criteria :
Age: 21-24 years.
Education: Not enrolled full-time.
Job Status: Not employed full-time.
Family Income: No family member (self/spouse/parents) should earn more than ₹8 lakhs per annum, and no family member should have a government job.
Program Benefits:
Duration: 12 months of real-life experience in top Indian companies.
Monthly Assistance: ₹4,500 from the Government of India and ₹500 from the industry, totaling ₹5,000.
Grant: A one-time grant of ₹6,000 for incidentals.
Insurance: Coverage under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
